Computer in your pocket – HTC Desire
August 11, 2010After being dissatisfied with all the phones that I have owned before, I have finally found the phone that allows me to run my business while on the move. I have owned phones which where good in one area and lacking in most. Now something that is well balanced and very useful. The HTC Desire.
I have been using the Desire for the past two months and have been very impressed with the performance, the speed and the flexibility that it offers. I have signed up to the Maxis Smart Phone package in Malaysia and am using a 500MB limit Internet Package. I practice I only use about half the available capacity. What do I do with phone? I have it connected to all my POP email accounts and gmail accounts. The phone is set to pickup mail at certain intervals. All my mails are available while on the move. I can also send quick replies from the phone itself. I have twitter on. It is automatically updating. When I am attending to a computer service call, it is a great tool to access online information for troubleshooting.

With the Google applications on the phone, it is a great tool for business. Search for a business address, not only is the information available, also the location is available to be used by the GPS guide on the phone. The GPS can tell you the way to the location. You can browse the net, edit documents, view PDF, draw pictures, take picture, shoot video, play games etc etc.
I no longer have to start my desktop or laptop to check my mail. My HTC Desire is always updating my email status for me. Just like have a computer in my pocket.
