January 6, 2012PUTRAJAYA: The public has been urged not to rush to National Registration Department (NRD) branches to change their MyKads to prevent congestion.
NRD director-general Datuk Jariah Mohd Said said changing to the new MyKad was not compulsory and there was no time limit set.
“The Putrajaya and Shah Alam NRD branches received 2,984 and 1,579 applications respectively to change to the new MKad from Tuesday until Thursday. Congestion at the counters can affect efforts to process applications to within a day,” she said in a statement. Read More . . .
